Fire-Resistant Ship Interiors for Safety at Sea
CITA Marine Furniture is proud to have successfully completed the interior outfitting works of AZUMI, a 66-meter mega yacht conversion project built at Norse Shipyard in Türkiye.
Formerly a Japanese research vessel, AZUMI has been transformed into a refined and serene yacht residence. From guest cabins to spa areas, CITA Marine Furniture handled the entire scope of marine outfitting, including custom-built furniture production, onboard installation, and precision joinery.
Highlights from the Interior Transformation:
- Guest cabins feature natural and reconstituted veneers, with increased ceiling heights for enhanced spaciousness.
- Intricate shadow groove detailing was successfully implemented despite the vessel’s age and curved geometry — showcasing our craftsmanship.
- The main saloon, lounge, bar, and spa areas follow a clean linear layout with warm oak and bamboo finishes, paired with soft textures and hidden technology elements.
- Spa facilities include a marble steam room, sauna, and massage space, combining luxury with functionality.
- Bathrooms feature full Corian surfaces, integrated lighting, and mirrored elements that amplify light and space.
The design was a collaboration between CITA Design Studio (guest cabins) and Burodoqi Design (saloon and owner’s suite), with CITA Marine Furniture coordinating the entire outfitting execution.
AZUMI stands as a testament to our ability to transform spaces through precision, elegance, and commitment to excellence in marine interiors.
